Washington State University has been named the 2015 Leader of the Pac champion by AT&T and the Pac-12 Conference. As a part of winning the competition, WSU received the Fans' Trophy and a $10,000 donation to the charity as voted by the fans. More than 1,800 WSU fans completed more than 10,000 challenges and 450 WSU students voted to name Team Gleason as the recipient of $10,000 donation from AT&T, as a part of winning the competition.

AT&T, in collaboration with the Pac-12 Conference, created the first official fan standing competition- in which fans, students and alumni competed to crown their school the Leader of the Pac and prove they have the best fans in the Pac-12. Each week, participants completed new and unique digital challenges to help push their school past Pac-12 rivals to the top spot. On campus, internal student organizations such as Greek Life and social clubs competed against one another to prove their organization has the most school spirit and ultimately move their school up the leaderboard.

"Our fans have been and continue to be the most engaged of any fan base in collegiate athletics," said WSU Deputy Director of Athletics Mike Marlow. "We greatly appreciate all that AT&T has done to generate excitement across conference schools and connect fans throughout its various digital platforms. We are even more pleased that Cougar students and fans stepped up to the challenge for Team Gleason and the great work that organization is doing to raise awareness and improving the lives of those affected by ALS."

The competition ran from September 2 to March 31, 2015, and AT&T hosted a ceremony May 2 at the Cougar baseball game vs. Arizona, awarding the Fans' Trophy, and $10,000 donation to Team Gleason.  Prizes included a $10,000 donation to charity of choice, AT&T devices, tickets to home games, and The Fans' Trophy- the first trophy to be awarded to the fans of an NCAA®** school. WSU's charity of choice, Team Gleason, will use the AT&T donation to generate public awareness for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), raise funding to empower those with ALS to live a rewarding life, and ultimately find a cure.
