McNEELY'S WASHINGTON STATE CAREER
JUNIOR (1998-99): Started the Cougars' first 10 games before suffering a knee sprain in the final seconds of the Washington game Jan. 4 in Seattle...WSU's third leading scorer (10.9) at the time of the injury...missed eight games before coming off the bench at Arizona a month later...scored 18 at St. Mary's and 17 at Washington before being injured...11 double-figure scoring games...after coming off injury scored 95 points in nine games...scored a career-high 18 points at St. Mary's, making 7-of-11 shots, including 4-of-5 three pointers...seven rebounds against Wyoming a career high...iIn three games against Arizona, Oregon and OSU shortly after comeback scored 13-13-14...scored 16 points against UCLA, hitting 6-of-15 shots, including 2-of-5 trey attempts.
SOPHOMORE (1997-98): Came off the bench in 13 games, averaging 2.6 points and 1.5 rebounds...scored eight points in back-to-back games against Northwestern State (Louisiana) and Gonzaga...four rebounds at Wyoming...had five points at ASU, hitting her only field goal attempt and both free throws...all three of her treys came in the first four games of the year.
FRESHMAN (1996-97): Played in 22 of 27 games with one start...just when things were looking good, underwent emergency appendectomy surgery the week of WSU's trip to Arizona...missed five games before returning for the trip to Stanford and California...while averaging just over 10 minutes and 2.8 points per outing through the first 16 games, made a solid case as WSU's most improved player...averaged 21 minutes a game in the four contests leading up to illness...scored 16 points in a win over Southern Utah in mid-January...hit all eight free throws in that contest...two nights later at Washington played a season-high 28 minutes...hit 5-of-7 field goals for 10 points in first Stanford matchup...developed into one of WSU's best defensive players.
McNEELY'S HIGH SCHOOL CAREER: Superb three-sport competitor...earned four letters in track (high jump, long jump, triple jump), two in volleyball (middle hitter) and three in basketball...coached during hoop season by Terry Thomas...during FRESHMAN season finished third in the state in the high jump and sixth in the triple jump...as a SOPHOMORE won state long jump title...JUNIOR year named to the all-league first team in both volleyball and basketball...hoop team finished second in the state tourney...honorable mention All-State and team MVP...during track season won state titles in high jump and triple jump and finished third in the long jump...as a SENIOR named to all-region volleyball and basketball teams...volleyball team finished seventh in the state, while the basketball team placed third...league MVP in both volleyball and basketball...played in the senior Oregon-Washington summer all-star game.
