HIGH SCHOOL CAREER. Earned six varsity letters at San Leandro High...three letters for football coach Brad Bowers...three letters for track coach Carl Pierce...on gridiron was All-Hayward Athletic Assn. League kick-returner as junior and all-league cornerback as a senior...on the track, sophomore year was runner-up in both 100m (11.27) and 200m (22.71) and on winning 400m relay (44.23) at HAAL Championships...junior year won 100m (11.00) and 200m (22.33), finished third in 4x100m at HAAL Championships...at North Coast Section Meet of Championships won 100m (10.82) and third in 200m (22.11)...at CIF State Championships finished eighth in 100m (10.95) and 11th in 200m (21.95)...senior season won 100m at Stanford Invitational (10.66 prelim/10.75 final)...won 200m at Sacramento Meet of Champions with PR and state-leading time of 21.21...was runner-up in 100m at Mt. SAC Relays with PR time of 10.63...repeated at HAAL 100m champ (11.14) and 200m champ (22.34) and added 4x100m relay title (43.14)...at NCS Meet of Champions runner-up in 100m (11.07) and third in 200m (22.56).
