Final Results 
PULLMAN, Wash. - San Jose State finished the 2011 Palouse Collegiate Invitational men's golf tournament with four players ranked in the top five, along with a tournament championship at the Par-71, 7,308-yard Palouse Ridge Golf Course, Tuesday.
The top individual was Jarred Bossio from Idaho, who won the event with a three round score of 8-under par (205). Bossio's score was good enough to rank fourth in player overall strokes all-time at the tournament, and was four strokes ahead of second place Jay Myers from San Jose State. Branden Dalton earned a career-best finish tying for 13th to lead Washington State.
The Cougars placed third overall in the tournament behind San Jose State and Utah Valley. Washington State's team score of 865 was six shots back of Utah Valley's second place 859, and 23 behind tournament winning Spartans' 842.
"I think we were a little rusty," Garrett Clegg said following his Cougar head coaching debut. "Certain things we did great. Other things we struggled with, but I am proud of the guys. They fought for everything."
Washington State's Hank Frame finished 3-over (216) to tie for 17th and record his 11th-career top 25. Cougar individual Kyle Hurt also tied for 17th, his third-career top 25. Trent Sanders tied for 22nd with a 4-over 217.
The Cougars return to action Sept. 26-27 at the Kikkor Husky Invitational in Bremerton Wash.
TOURNAMENT NOTES
San Jose State and Utah Valley each shot a 279 to set a tournament record for the final round...Washington State redshirt-freshman Sang Lee tied for 29th in his collegiate debut.
