LARAMIE, Wyo. - The Washington State Cougars fell to the Wyoming Cowgirls, 63-43, in non-conference women's basketball action, Saturday at the Arena Auditorium.
Hana Potter led WSU (2-9) with 10 points. Hillary Carlson led Wyoming (7-3) with 25 points.
WSU trailed by six at 27-21 with 3:48 left in the first half, but the Cowgirls closed out the half on a 10-2 run to take a 37-23 at the break. The Cowgirls maintained their double-digit advantage throughout the second half.
Wyoming made half of its shots during the opening 20 minutes (15-of-30) and finished the game 24-of-56 (42.9 percent) from the floor. WSU made 19-of-65 attempts (29.2 percent) for the game.
The Cougars return to action for their final non-conference game of the season, Tuesday, Dec. 21 at San Diego State. Tip is at 7 p.m.
