MOSCOW, Idaho -- Washington State's McKenzie Garberg, Justin Woods and Jeshua Anderson were double-winners Friday night at the 33rd Annual Vandal Indoor Meet hosted by the University of Idaho in the Kibbie Dome.

Garberg, a senior from Benton City, Wash., won the women's 20-pound weight throw with a distance of 53-feet, 8 1/2 inches (16.37m), won the discus with an indoor lifetime-best toss of 166-8 (50.80m), and finished second in the shot put with a season-best throw of 48-0 1/2 (14.64m).

Woods, a junior from Buena Vista, Calif., won the men's 60m dash in a season-best time of 6.77 and took the 200m dash with a time of 21.32.

Jeshua Anderson, from Woodland Hills, Calif., won the 60m hurdles with a PR time of 8.01, breaking his own freshman school record of 8.09 set last month. He went on to win the 400m dash with a PR time of 48.15, with Cougar teammates Barry Leavitt second with a PR time of 48.75, Reny Follett third in a time of 49.44, and Luke Lemenager fourth (50.17). Woods and Anderson were also on the winning 4x400m relay team with Robert Williams and Follett (3:22.32).

Other Cougar winners on the oval included Sean Coyle was second in a time of 4:18.67. Lorraine King won the women's 400m dash with a time of 56.95 and was followed across the finish line by Caroline Hedel (PR 57.91), Selena Galaviz (58.03) and La Shawnda Porter-Red (58.08). King also placed third in the 60m hurdles with a lifetime-best of 8.84. Karen DeMartini won the 800m run with a time of 2:17.04.

In the field, Catie Schuetzle won the triple jump with a PR leap of 39-10 3/4 (12.16m).

The meet provided notable times from freshman Cougar sprinter Marlon Murray (60m, PR 6.95; 200m PR 21.80), and sophomore Sadiki James (60m, PR 6.99). Throwers reaching PRs were Matt Lamb with a discus toss of 192-6 (58.67m), finishing second to Idaho's Russ Winger by one inch, and Phil MacArthur with a 35-pound weight throw of 58-2 (17.73m).

The competition shifts to the McDonald's Open Meet Saturday at Idaho's Kibbie Dome.
