    Rowing Graduate Assistant
Two-time Olympian Nicole Hare returned to the Palouse in the fall of 2021 as a graduate assistant for the Washington State women's rowing team.

Hare was a member of the Cougar varsity rowing team from 2013-17. She was a three-time CRCA All-Region 5 honoree, picking up first team honors in 2014 and second team honors in 2015 and 2017. In both 2014 and 2015, Hare was named CRCA Division I All-America Second Team.

“I’m super excited to be back in Pullman,” expressed Hare. “It’s nice to be back home and I’m excited to get to work with the team. This program has given so much to me. I feel like I have so much to give back to our student-athletes as they go through their collegiate careers. I have so much passion for the sport and the school. I look forward to being on this journey with them.”

Hare redshirted during the 2016 season to compete in the women’s pair at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for Canada. She once again represented her home country on the grandest stage, as she competed in the women’s four at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. Hare is only one of three Coug alumni to compete at the Olympics, as she is joined by fellow Canadian Lisa Roman and Beth Redford, who rowed for Great Britain at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics.
