Tori Ector was named Assistant Athletic Director for Inclusion and Belonging in December 2023. She is responsible for leading and advancing initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the WSU athletic department.
Tori develops strategies, policies, and programs for student-athletes, coaches, and staff to cultivate a culture of fairness and equal opportunities for all members of the WSU community.  In addition to her role in the athletic department, Tori serves as an Adjunct Professor in the WSU Sports Management Department, where she teaches Sales and Revenue Generation in Sports to undergraduate and graduate students.
Tori arrived at WSU in 2022 and previously served Washington State Athletics as a Director of Development for the Cougar Athletic Fund where she oversaw development and engagement efforts in Seattle, Pullman/Moscow, and Portland.
Tori joined the CAF after serving as an Assistant Director of Development for the Green Wave Club at Tulane University, where she focused on identifying prospective donors, cultivating donor relationships, and soliciting donations or gifts from individuals, corporations, or foundations. While at Tulane, she served as an adjunct professor at the Phyllis M. Taylor Center for Social Innovation and Design Thinking, teaching first-year students design thinking methodology. Â

Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Tori earned her bachelor's and master’s degrees from the University of Georgia, where she majored in Sports Management and Policy. She is working on her Doctor of Education (EdD) in Global Sport Leadership from East Tennessee State University. Outside of athletics and academics, Tori was a student representative for the University of Georgia Athletic Association Board of Directors, an Orientation Leader and Resident Assistant on campus, and a Graduate Assistant for Student-Athlete Development for UGA Athletics.

Residing in Pullman and an East Coast native, Tori looks forward to the outdoor recreation that the state of Washington offers and to further exploring the West Coast.
