WSU CAREER: As a JUNIOR (2014-15) rowed with the varsity eight crew in the fall…in the spring, competed with the varsity four crew in all events…helped defeat No. 5 Stanford to open the spring season…led varsity four to a win over Gonzaga as team won Fawley Cup…rowed past No. 14 Texas, No. 20 Minnesota and Syracuse in the Clemson Invitational…led varsity four to a win against No. 15 Harvard, No. 18 Oregon State and No. 20 Minnesota on day two of the Clemson Invite…out-raced No. 17 UCLA and No. 18 Oregon State at Dexter Lake…attained second place in the Pac-12 Rowing Championships…helped the varsity four crew with a runners-up finish to No. 1 Ohio State, with the result advanced to the A/B Semifinals…led varsity four crew to a seventh place finish in the 2015 NCAA Rowing Championships as the team finishing eighth overall…as a SOPHOMORE (2013-14), was a member of the novice team.

PRIOR TO WSU: Transferred from Cal State Monterey Bay at Seaside, Calif…competed in soccer as a forward at Cal State Monterey Bay in 2012.

HIGH SCHOOL: Competed in soccer, gymnastics, track and golf at Kingston High School at Kingston, Wash…won four varsity letters in gymnastics and was named captain as a senior…was named all-league in soccer three times…helped team to district tournament in freshman-junior years…was a member of the golf team and made it to districts as a junior…was named all-league in gymnastics three times…advanced to districts as a freshman, sophomore, and senior…advanced to districts in track as a freshman and sophomore as a pole vaulter…played club soccer for Washington Premier.

PERSONAL: Born Victoria Gerken…January of 1994 at Elgin, Ill…father Ken…mother Debra…sisters Jessica and Kimie…was a member of high school ASB for four years, and was ASB President as a senior…plans to study human development at Washington State.
