Biography

WSU CAREER: As a JUNIOR (2015-16), rowed with the fourth varsity eight, and defeated No. 19 Gonzaga to open the season …raced in the second varsity four ‘C’ against Gonzaga, and the Cougars swept the Beavers in all races to earn a seventh-straight Winchell Cup…as a SOPHOMORE (2014-15), competed with third varsity eight crew in the spring, did not participate in the fall…as a FRESHMAN (2013-14), competed with the novice team and was a member of novice boat that finished fifth at the Pac-12 Championships.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Competed in cross-country skiing, flag football and track and field at Anchorage High School at Anchorage, Alaska…helped cross-country skiing team to regional championships sophomore and senior year…named Honorable Mention All-Cook Inlet Conference in flag football as a senior and was a team captain in 2012 as a junior.
 
PERSONAL: Born Hunter Valerie Jordan Jones…August of 1995 at Anchorage, Alaska…father Carl is a safety manager…mother Beverly is a customer service manager…brother Bradford…fourth cousin, Drake Nevis, was a defensive tackle for the LSU football team and played for five different NFL teams…currently plays for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League…enjoys watching movies and hanging out with friends…in 2013, received a varsity letter in music at Anchorage High School for orchestra…majoring in communication.
