Sam Helmick-Schwarzmiller

Sam Helmick-Schwarzmiller was named an assistant coach at Washington State in August of 2022.

Helmick-Schwarzmiller comes to the Palouse after a two-year stint as a graduate assistant coach at the University of Central Oklahoma, where she worked with both the varsity and novice teams.

During her time at UCO, the Bronchos won their third-straight NCAA Division II National Championship during the 2021 season, then finished fifth at the 2022 NCAA Division II National Championship.

Helmick-Schwarzmiller is a native of Lake Stevens, Washington, and rowed for SMU from 2017-19. She helped the Mustangs post a program-best second-place finish at the 2019 American Athletic Conference Championships.
