Emma Barrett was named the WSU Rowing Director of Operations in August of 2022.

Barrett stays on with the Cougars as director of operations after a five-year stint on the WSU women's rowing team from 2017-22. During her time with WSU, Barrett was a two-time CRCA Scholar Student-Athlete and a three-time Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll selection.

In the water, Barrett helped Washington State to the 2021 NCAA Rowing Championships, where she competed with the First Varsity Eight. Barrett began her WSU career with the novice 8+ boat and worked her way up to the first varsity eight boat by her senior season. She helped the 2V8+ crew finish fifth at the 2019 Pac-12 Championships and finished her Cougar career rowing with the 1V8+ crew at the 2022 Pac-12 Championships at Dexter Lake, Oregon.

A native of Vienna, Virginia, Barrett graduated from Washington State University in the spring of 2022 with a degree in Kinesiology.
