Chris Bailey-Greene

Chris Bailey-Greene was named an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Washington State in August of 2022.

Prior to joining the Cougars, Bailey-Greene spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Gonzaga, where he helped the Bulldogs to back-to-back West Coast Conference Championships in 2021 and 2022. Bailey-Greene brings a heap of Pac-12 rowing experience to the Cougar staff, as he spent two years as the top assistant coach for the Oregon State men's rowing team. During his time in Corvallis, the Beavers finished fourth at the 2019 Pac-12 Rowing Championships to earn a berth into the IRA National Championships.

"Not only does Chris bring considerable Division I coaching experience to WSU, but he is also a superb recruiter," WSU Rowing Head Coach Jane LaRiviere said of Bailey-Greene. "Chris is intelligent, focused, and passionate about rowing. His wealth of knowledge will have an immediate and positive impact on our current team and many future Cougs. I am excited to work with him."

Bailey-Greene has also spent time as an assistant coach at Yale and the New York Athletic Club. During his time with Yale's men's rowing team, the Bulldogs won the 2018 IRA Varsity 8+ National Championship. He was a four-year member of the rowing team at Brown University, where the team was ranked inside the top five nationally each season. He is also a Level III Certified US Rowing coach.
