REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2007): Had Tommy John surgery on elbow in fall 2006 and used spring season for rehabilitation...

FRESHMAN (2006): Outdoor - Redshirt season but was impressive as an unattached thrower...tossed 62.28m/204-4 at Cougar Invitational (4/22/06, Pullman).

HIGH SCHOOL CAREER. Earned four varsity letters at Olympia High for track coach Scott Ditter...competed in Narrows League Championships as freshman...best javelin throw of 153-7...sophomore year won the Davis Invite...third in league and district...competed at state...PR of 184-8...junior season finished third in league and district meets, fourth at state meet...as a senior won the Shelton Invitational...Narrows League javelin champion...second at district and at state meet...named all-state in javelin...placed second in javelin at Brooks Meet of Champions (Oregon vs. Washington preps)...PR of 195-7.

PERSONAL. Born 9/12/86 at Olympia, Wash...father Mike is a lobbyist who graduated from WSU in 1972...mother Jane is a registered nurse...older brother Andrew (8/19/82) competed in track at Eastern Washington University...enjoys playing guitar...majoring in business.
