Joel Diaz Romero begins his fifth season at Washington State and first in a full-time role after being named an offensive high school scout on head coach Jake Dickert’s 2023 staff.

Diaz Romero has spent the previous four seasons as a student assistant for Cougar Football, assisting primarily on the offensive side of the ball. In addition to assisting with running backs, Diaz Romero has helped with scout team coordination, gameday signal and charting responsibilities, as well as film breakdown and opponent scouting reports.

Diaz Romero is a sport management major at Washington State with an anticipated graduation date of Spring 2023.
