Jihad Woods WSU Football Bio

Jihad Woods begins his first season on Head Coach Jake Dickert’s staff, serving as a defensive high school scout in the recruiting area. And also working with Cougar football alumni.
 
Woods returns to Pullman after spending 2016-2021 as a student-athlete and a five-year letterwinner on the Cougar Football team.
 
Appearing in 56 games, Woods tied the Cougar career record of games played, and also had the fourth-most career tackles at WSU, 428. He set the record for most forced fumbles, 10, and also had three career fumble recoveries to go along with five career interceptions.
 
Woods was a four-time All-Pac 12 Conference recipient while setting the record for most starts in WSU history with 51. Woods was a part of five bowl games during his time in Pullman and set the WSU bowl game and Cheez-It Bowl game record with 20 tackles against Air Force to end the 2019 season.
 
After graduating in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in humanities, Woods signed a free-agent contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
