Cougars Celebrate the Beginning of the 2015-16 Season

Cougars throughout the Palouse gathered at Rogers Field, Thursday evening to celebrate the beginning of the 2015-16 season.

The inaugural Cougar Kickoff event, presented by the Cougar Athletic Fund, featured a barbecue dinner by South Fork Public House, student-athletes autograph session, games, and a wine/beer garden for adults.

Voice of the Cougars, Matt Chazanow, and Cougar quarterback legend and CAF Assistant Director of Development Jason Gesser co-emceed the event. WSU Interim President Dan Bernardo, Director of Athletics Bill Moos, volleyball coach Jen Greeny, baseball coach Marty Lees and football coach Mike Leach also spoke.

The Cougar Athletic Fund, the fundraising arm of the Washington State University Athletic Department, is committed to covering the annual cost of student-athlete scholarships through private, philanthropic support.
