REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2001-02): Indoor - Won the high jump at MPSF Championships at 1.75m/5-8 3/4i (3/22/02, Flagstaff)...finished second at NCAA Indoor Championships with 1.83m/6-0i leap...second indoor All-America certificate...Outdoor - Repeated as Pac-10 high jump champ with leap of 1.81m/5-11 1/4 (5/19/02, Pullman)...earned fourth outdoor and sixth overall All-American honors with second place high jump finish (1.79m/5-10 1/2) at NCAA Outdoor Championships (5/30/02, Baton Rouge)...summer 2003 finished fourth in the high jump (1.81m/5-11 1/4) at the Canadian Senior Track & Field Championships at Edmonton, Alberta, Canada (6/23/02).
(2000-01): Indoor - JUNIOR: Redshirt season...Outdoor - REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE: Finished third in the high jump at the NCAA Championships with a leap of 1.84m/6-0 1/2 (6/2/01, Eugene)...height matched her collegiate PR mark...also qualified for the heptathlon at national meet but chose her stronger event...Pac-10 Champion in the high jump at 1.80m/5-10 3/4 (5/20/01, Berkeley) and second in the heptathlon with 5,546 points, behind teammate Ellannee Richardson.
(1999-2000): Indoor - SOPHOMORE: Sore knee from fall restricted outcomes...still achieved NCAA PQ with leap of 1.82m/5-11 1/2i to win high jump at MPSF Championships (2/26, 00, Reno)...at NCAA Indoor Championships, finished tied for 15th in the high jump with a leap of 5-8 1/2i (3/11/00, Fayetteville)...Outdoor - Redshirt season due to patella tendonitis in her right knee.
FRESHMAN (1998-99): Indoor - Tied for sixth in the women's high jump at the NCAA Indoor Championships with a personal-best indoor mark of 1.83m/6-0i (3/6/99, Indianapolis)...earned All-America status with finish...won high jump at Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships at a height of 1.82m/5-11 1/2 (2/20/99, Reno)...leaped to freshman school record of 3.32m/10-10 3/4i in pole vault at MPSF (2/19/99, Reno)...Outdoor - Finished fourth at NCAA in high jump with a clearance at 1.84m/6-0 1/2 (6/3/99, Boise)...also placed seventh in heptathlon at NCAAs with 5,579 points - third best in school history and the Canadian Junior record...finished third at Pac-10 Combined Events Championships with 5,484 points (5/15/99, Tempe)...was second in Pac-10 high jump at 1.80m/5-10 3/4 (5/21/99, Tempe)...also ran second leg of 1600m relay that set school record time of 3:38.08 in fourth-place finish at conference meet (5/21/99, Tempe)...begins sophomore season at WSU ranked third in Canadian Open Heptathlon rankings...during summer competition, tied for second in high jump at the Pan American Junior Championships with leap of 1.77m/5-9 3/4 (7/11/99, Tampa)...won gold medal in high jump at Alberta Championships as well as Canadian Junior Championships...bronze in high jump at Canadian Senior Championships.

Came to WSU as the number-one ranked Canadian junior high jumper, number two in women's open...tenth in World Juniors...Canadian junior heptathlon ranking was second...attended Western Canada High School...coached by John Cannon and Al Holm...Cannon also head coach of Calgary International Track Club and Alberta's 1997 Canada Summer Games Team...Holm coaches Calgary Warriors Track Club where Evans served as his assistant for jumps and hurdles...also coached by Les Gramantik, University of Calgary Kinesiology Centre Director, and Gary Lubin...Gramantik is an internationally-recognized field events coach and Canadian National Team coach since 1984...Lubin coaches Canada's premier high jumpers...two-time city title holder in high jump, long jump, 100m hurdles and triple jump events...also won all jumps twice at Provincial Championships with meet records...set city and provincial high jump records with 1.83m/6-0 leap...as a senior won women's open high jump at Mt.
