Assistant coach Jackie Booth continues to help guide the Cougars to being one of the nation's top tennis schools.
Entering her tenth season at Washington State, her commitment to Cougar Tennis is evident through her dedication to the student-athlete. Booth was appointed in 1991 and arrived to the program with head coach Cari Groce from the coaching staff at her alma mater Oklahoma State.
During her career at WSU, she has witnessed the Cougars journey to the NCAA tournament during three out of the past four seasons
Booth was a four-year letterwinner from 1988-91 while playing at Oklahoma State. She captured the Big Eight Conference No. 4 singles and No. 3 doubles titles as a freshman. She was also the No. 2 doubles champion as a sophomore.
During her junior year, she earned No. 1 doubles and No. 3 singles championships at the Big Eight Tournament and earned All-America doubles honors with partner Monika Waniek. As a senior, she brought home victories at the fall Rolex National singles and doubles championships. Her highest career ranking in singles was No. 12 and No. 2 in doubles at OSU.
Booth continues to compete in tournaments around the country. She was named the USTA Pacific Northwest Women's Player of the Year in 1995. In 1999, she was honored as the regional ITA assistant coach of the year.
While at Oklahoma State, Booth majored in recreation management. Booth earned the top national junior ranking as a prep-senior in South Africa.
She is a native of Cape Town, South Africa, where her parents Eric and Eleanor reside. Jackie has two sisters Teresa and Pamela. She is also the proud new aunt of Kayla Jessica Oliviera (sister Teresa's baby girl).
