Earned three varsity letters while playing multiple positions including tight end and middle linebacker in high school under head coach Clay Angle...SOPHOMORE year played on the varsity team that won the South Puget Sound League title... prior to JUNIOR year was named the TE MVP at the WSU summer camp...two-way starter during the season on both the offensive and defensive lines...earned offensive and defensive All-SPSL honorable mention honors...SENIOR year led team to 4A state semifinals and a 12-1 record...team captain...named to the first-team All-South Puget Sound League on the offensive and defensive line and placed on the Tacoma News Tribune's 2010 All-State football team at the defensive line... Associated Press and Seattle Times All-State on defense...rated as the no. 40 MLB in the country by Scout.com.
