WASHINGTON STATE CAREER

2024-25 / Junior
Competed in all 11 tournaments, along with the NCAA Regional Championships, totaling 36 rounds…named to All-West Coast Conference First Team…recorded a team-leading 70.67 scoring average, which set the WSU single-season scoring record…lowered his WSU career-scoring record from 71.97 to 71.52…for the season, posted 14 rounds in the 60’s, 25 at par or better, recording five Top 10 and eight Top 25 finishes…qualified for his first NCAA Championship, competing in 2025 NCAA Bremerton Regional, finishing T-27th after shooting 3-over, 219…became just the fourth WSU Men’s golfer to qualify for an NCAA Championship…in the fall over 15 rounds posted a team-leading 69.53 stroke average, going a cumulative 28-under par… captured his first two collegiate titles, taking medalist honors at the Badger Invitational and Oregon State Invitational…became first Cougar men’s golfer to win back-to-back tournament titles…over his final three events of the fall, posted nine consecutive rounds under par…during that stretch, he recorded a scoring average of 68.78, had six rounds in the 60’s, went a cumulative 23-under par, won two tournaments and finished T-16th in a third…had a fall-best 66 twice in season-opening tournament, the Palouse Collegiate, en route to finishing T-12th…finished 3-over (219) to finish T-27th at Canadian Collegiate…went 9-under (207) to come from two strokes down in final round to capture Badger Invitational, his first collegiate title…following week, came from behind again in final round to finish 10-under par (203), to capture Oregon State Invitational….began the spring at John Burns Intercollegiate and finished at +9, tied for 66th…followed that with rounds of 67-69-69—205, -8, at The Prestige, finishing T-2nd…added  Top-10 finishes at Arizona Thunderbirds (+1, 217, T-9th) and El Macero Classic (E, 216, T-6th)…finished T-19th at 5-inder, 211, at West Coast Conference Championships….will enter senior season T-3rd in career Top-10 finishes (12) and T-9th in career Top-25 finishes (19)…in July of 2025, captured the 123rd Pacific Northwest Golf Association (PNGA) Men's Amateur title, winning 4&3 in the championship match.

2023-24 | Sophomore
Appeared in a career-high 12 rounds in his sophomore season … played in 37 rounds with his score counting in 33 of them … finished second on the team with a scoring average of 71.19 … through his sophomore season, holds the program’s best career scoring average at 71.97 over 68 career rounds played … led the team with 27 par-or-better rounds, eight top-25 finishes, five top-10 finishes and 16 rounds shooting below 70 … helped the Cougs win the 2024 National Golf Invitational, the program’s first postseason tournament win … Renner had a career performance at the NGI, carding a career-best 14-under, 202 to place second … he finished one stroke off from the individual champion, and the second-place finish was the highest a Cougar had ever placed in a postseason tournament … his 14-under over 54 holes ranks second in program history, while his 202 strokes tied for fourth over three rounds … he shot a career-best 8-under, 64 in the event’s final round … 8-under in a single round tied for third best in program history and his score of 64 ranks fifth in the WSU single-round record book … went 12-under, 204 to place sixth at the Golfweek Fall Challenge … went 11-under, 205 at the Pacific Invitational, placing tied for sixth … also tied for sixth at the Oregon Invitational with a 1-over score of 214 … went 6-under, 207 to finish tied for eighth in the GCU Invitational.

… Top Freshman Finisher at the 2023 Pac-12 Championship … Played in 10 tournaments for Washington State as a true freshman … His score of 7-under 63 in the first round at the 2023 Pac-12 Championship set the WSU record for the lowest single-round score by a Coug at a Pac-12 Championship … Ended the season with a scoring average of 72.90, which is the second-lowest scoring average by a WSU freshman in program history … Part of WSU’s lineup that finished tied for third at the 2023 Pac-12 Championship, which is the best team finish at a Pac-12 Championship in program history … Played in the 2023 National Golf Invitational for the Cougs, which was the first postseason tournament that WSU has played in since the 2002 NCAA West Regional … Score counted in 27 of the 31 rounds … Collected two top-10 finishes during the season … Carded a season-best 7-under 206 at the Visit Stockton Invitational to finish eighth overall … His score of 206 (-7) is the second-best 54-hole score by a WSU freshman in program history … Shot 4-under 276 at the 2023 Pac-12 Championship to finish in a tie for eighth and collect the highest finish by a freshman at the Pac-12 Championship … His score of 4-under 276 is the third-lowest total score by a Cougar at a Pac-12 Championship … His eighth-place finish at the 2023 Pac-12 Championship set the school’s freshman record for the best finish at a Pac-12 Championship, while it tied him with Randy Fossum (1984) and Zach Anderson (2018) for the fourth-best finish by a Coug at the Pac-12s … Carded even par in nine rounds and shot under par in eight rounds … Posted scored in the 60s in five rounds … Shot 2-over 218 at the 2023 National Golf Invitational to finish in a tie for 27th.

Attended Summit High School in Bend, Ore. … Won six tournaments during his prep career … Finished 24th at the 2018 Oregon State Championship as a freshman, which was the last time Oregon held a high school state championship for golf, as the last two seasons have been postponed due to COVID-19 … Participated in the Future Champions Golf Tour and has posted a top-six finish in every tournament he has competed in … Won the 2021 National Tour Oregon Memorial Weekend Tournament by carding 139 (-5) … Posted his best 18-hole score in the first round of the 2021 Oregon Memorial Weekend Tournament, shooting 66 (-6).
