PULLMAN, Wash. (March 14, 2025) – Washington State women's track and field student-athlete 
Nana Gyedu and women's tennis student-athlete 
Elyse Tse were named the Academic Services Student-Athletes of the Month for February 2025.
 
Gyedu is a senior from England who owns a 3.56 GPA while majoring in chemical engineering with a minor in mathematics. Gyedu has worked with other student-athletes as a tutor including as a peer tutor in the composition assistance program helping with writing. Also in the classroom, Gyedu earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors and Pac-12 Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll honors. In February of 2025, Gyedu finished second at the UK Athletics Indoor Championships in Birmingham, United Kingdom. Last season, Gyedu earned All-American Honorable Mention honors after finishing No. 18 in the shotput at the NCAA Championships.
 
Tse is a senior from Zealand who owns a 3.95 GPA while majoring in digital technology and culture with a minor in graphic design. Also in the classroom, Tse earned the ITA Academic Achievement Award and Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll. This season, Tse has posted at 14-11 singles record and a 13-7 doubles mark. Tse is a member of WSU SAAC, is involved with Global Cougs and works in the WSU athletics creative design department, helping design materials used at athletic events.
