SACRAMENTO, California (Nov. 14, 2025) – Cross Country heads south to Sacramento for the NCAA West Regionals this Friday. Defending champion Evans Kurui will look to defend his title in the men's 10k championship, while freshman Rosemary Longisa will look to continue her winning ways in the women's 6k. The women's 6k championship race will start at 9:00 am PT, while the men's 10k will begin at 10 am PT.
 
WSU will compete against Arizona, Boise State, Cal Poly, CSU Fullerton, California, California Baptist, CSU Northridge, Eastern Washington, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Grand Canyon, Hawaii, Idaho, Long Beach State, Loyola Marymount, Oregon, Oregon State, Pacific, Pepperdine, Portland, Portland State, Sacramento State, San Diego, San Diego State, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Seattle U, St. Mary's (CA), Stanford, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara, UCLA, UNLV, USC, Utah Tech, and Washington.
 
The men are ranked 11th in the nation and second in the West Region by USTFCCCA. The women are ranked 24th in the nation and fourth in the West Region.

Last Time Out: WCC Championships (Nov. 1)
- Solomon Kipchoge won the WCC Championships with a time of 22 minutes and 32.6 seconds for his second victory of the season
- Rosemary Longisa won her first WCC Championship with a time of 19 minutes and 35 seconds
- This was the men's first team conference victory in 50 years, having five of the top ten finishers
- This was the women's first conference title in program history, having four of the top nine finishers
- Zenah Cheptoo finished third with a time of 20 minutes and 1.1 seconds, while Nicole Bissell was not far behind with a time of 20 minutes and 26.6 seconds.
- Evans Kurui finished in second with a time of 22 minutes and 57.6 seconds, with Josphat Meli finishing in the top five with a time of 23 minutes and 35.6 seconds.
