PULLMAN, Wash. (Dec. 6, 2024) – Washington State Cross Country senior
Leif Swanson garnered West Coast Conference All-Academic First Team honors, the conference announced Friday. On the women's side, five Cougars received WCC All-Academic honorable mention honors.

Swanson, a senior from Spokane, Wash., was one of 10 cross country runners named to the men's first team. Consistently one of WSU's top finishers this season, Swanson carries a 3.73 grade point average as a kinesiology major. Sophomore
Evan Bruce from Spokane, Wash., was named WCC All-Academic honorable mention after posting a 3.23 GPA as a business major.

Alaina Stone Boggs was one of five Cougar women to be receive WCC All-Academic honorable mention honors. Stone Boggs, from Colville, Wash., received her kinesiology degree last spring with a 3.51 GPA. Sophomore
Nicole Bissell, from Spokane Valley, Wash., earned her first academic honor as she is a public relations major with a 3.90 GPA.

Jessica Duran, from Wendell, Idaho, was named to the team after posting a 3.77 GPA as a finance major. Senior
Neema Kimtai, from Kitale, Kenya, earned the honor as she is a humanities major with a 3.22 GPA. Senior
Maya Nichols, from Bremerton, Wash., collected her first All-Academic honor with a 3.60 GPA as a marketing major.
