PULLMAN, Wash. (January 12, 2024) – Washington State's
Charlisse Leger-Walker (Women's Basketball) and
Jabe Mullins (Men's Basketball) were named the Academic Services Student-Athletes of the Month for December 2023.

Leger-Walker, a senior from New Zealand, owns a 3.92 GPA while majoring in business management. The two-time Pac-12 Conference Academic Honor Roll selection and 2023 CSC Academic All-America second-team honoree is also one of two SAAC representatives from the women's basketball team, is a member of AAPI affinity group and has participated in a number of community service events. On the court, Leger-Walker is a three-time All-American, has helped the Cougars to an 11-5 record, leads the team in scoring at 13.9 ppg and recorded a pair of triple-doubles in wins over Maryland and Houston.

Mullins, a senior from Snoqualmie, Wash., owns a 3.34 GPA while majoring in social science. On the court, Mullins is fourth on the team in made three-pointers and helped the Cougars to a 11-5 record to start the season including four wins in December highlighted by a season-high 13-point performance in the win over Boise State.
