Soccer Announces Promotions for 2023 Season

PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State women's soccer will have promotional activities and themes for each of its 11 home soccer matches at Lower Soccer Field this fall, the team announced Thursday. Feature promotions include a "WSU Beach Party," "WAZZU White Out," and "Fill the Hill" challenge.
 
The Cougars' 2023 season begins Thursday, Aug. 17, against Eastern Washington with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. The team will host a "WAZZU White Out" to kick off the 2023-24 academic calendar, with free white WAZZU t-shirts to early arriving fans.
 
WSU returns to Lower Soccer Field for "Sunday Funday," Aug. 27 against Weber State, with arts and crafts activities for kids. Join the Cougs the following Thursday, Aug. 31, for a "Beach Party" with an exclusive Cougar bucket hat giveaway. Washington State hosts San Diego State with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m.
 
The Cougars play in Pullman the entire month of September with five home matches. WAZZU hosts Saint Mary's, Thursday, Sept. 7 for "Greek Life Night" with the highest attended Panhellenic member houses receiving prizes for the chapter. The weekend concludes with a Sunday afternoon match, Sept. 10, against Kansas. The Cougars will host a "Fill the Hill," offering WSU throw blanket giveaways. WSU Athletics will also recognize service members and first responders as part of a "Salute to Service."
 
In mid-September, Cougar soccer will host "Swifties at the Pitch" against Seattle U, Thursday, Sept. 14. Swifties at the Pitch will feature a friendship bracelet station and Taylor Swift music throughout the evening.
 
Washington State begins its Pac-12 schedule, Friday, Sept. 14, hosting Stanford at 7 p.m. The match will feature a "Flashback Friday" theme with shutter shade sunglasses, glow sticks, and a chance to win a vintage handheld gaming system.
 
September concludes with the Cougs hosting USC, Thursday, Sept. 28 for "Vamos Pumas Latinx Night." Cougar fans should arrive early to receive a "Vamos Pumas" t-shirt and "Socctoberfest" pint glasses. Join the WSU soccer team for its annual "Mental Health Awareness Game," Sunday, Oct. 1, against UCLA.
 
WSU's 2023 home schedule concludes in mid-October with a pair of matches against the Pac-12 mountain schools. Colorado arrives in Pullman for the Cougars' "Pink Game," Thursday, Oct. 19. WSU will give away pink rally towels and offer fans name cards to honor breast cancer victims and raise screening awareness. Washington State will honor its graduating seniors Sunday, Oct. 22 with Senior Day festivities beginning shortly before the 1 p.m. kickoff.
