PULLMAN, Wash. (Aug. 3, 2022) – Washington State University Director of Athletics Pat Chun announced Wednesday updates to his senior staff heading into the 2022-23 academic year.
 
Deputy Athletic Director/Senior Woman Administrator Anne McCoy and Deputy Athletic Director Mitch Straub continue to lead their respective units, with Straub adding oversight for capital projects and planning, and external relations to his principal giving management. Ike Ukaegbu, who joined Cougar Athletics in July of 2022, will serve as Deputy Athletic Director and oversee sports medicine/athletic training/mental health, strength and conditioning, nutrition and equipment, while also having sport administration duties for football, men's basketball and tennis.
 
Chun also announced that a number of unit leaders have been given the title of senior associate athletic director. Shawn Deeds continues to be part of Chun's leadership team as a senior associate AD for event and facility management, while also overseeing the Gray W and serving as head of sport operations. Those joining Deeds with senior associate AD titles include Brad Corbin (academics and compliance), Adam Ganders (Cougar Athletic Fund), Shelby McKay (student-athlete development and diversity, equity and inclusion), Bill Stevens (communications, digital, media and public relations) and Matt Zollinger (marketing and promotions, ticket operations, concessions).
