PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State men's basketball's Aljaz Kunc and volleyball's Aria McComber have been named the Academic Services Student-Athletes of the Month for November 2020.
In his third season on the Palouse and the veteran of the men's basketball team, Kunc has excelled both on and off the court in pursuit of his degree in marketing which he is in line to finish in just three years at Washington State. He earned his first Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll award in his first season of eligibly as a sophomore. He has been involved in activities within Athletics such as the Etiquette Dinner, Butch's Bash and CougPals. On the court, Kunc played in 29 games while starting 17 as a sophomore. He finished the year with four-double digit scoring games while playing on the perimeter for the Cougs.
Looking to graduate in three years, Aria McComber has taken 18 credits every semester at Washington State in pursuit of her degree in business marketing. In her first year of eligibility, she earned a spot on the Pac-12 Fall Academic Honor Roll while sporting an impressive 3.92 GPA. In addition to her school work, McComber has participated in PAC this fall and has volunteered throughout the community including at the Palouse Ice Rink, Colfax Senior Lunch-in, Coug-Pals, and has spoken for D.A.R.E. On the court and in her first year of action she played in 29 matches and 74 sets tallying 99 digs and nine serving aces.
