Marie Lund-Hansen and freshman
Amy Chu finished in the Top-10 following the opening two rounds of the CDA Resort Collegiate Invitational Monday in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Lund-Hansen tied for third after going one-under par for the day to lead the way for the Cougars, coming with a 68 in the first round before finishing with a 73 in the second round. At the last invite, Lund-Hansen finished tied 19th with a score of 218(+2).
Chu sits tied for seventh with Sophie Hausmann from Idaho after posting an even-par, 142, through two rounds of play. Chu carded a 73 in the first round before posting an impressive 69 in the second round.
Junior
Elodie Bridenne is tied for 39th after carding a 75(+4) in the first round and a 73(+2) in the second round to finish with a score of 148(+6). Senior
Madison Odiorne carded a score of 149(+7), while redshirt-sophomore
Emily Baumgart scored a 151(+9) through two rounds of play.
As a team, Washington State sits tied for fourth with Long Beach State. The Cougars finished the day 12-over par at 580, directly ahead of Idaho which carded a 581(+13). No. 23 Illinois leads the tournament, having gone eight-under par through two rounds with a 560.
Individually, Lund-Hansen and the field will try to chase down Crystal Wang from Illinois who took a three shot lead into the clubhouse on day one after posting a four-under, 138, two-round total.
The Cougars tee-off the final round of play in Idaho Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 8:00 a.m.
