In Case You Missed It ...Â
Down one goal with time ticking away, the No. 21 ranked Washington State soccer team came up with a late charge to find a pair of last minute goals that completed a 2-1, comeback victory for the Cougars at San Diego in exhibition play. Picking up where she left off a season ago, senior
Maddy Haro took matters into her own hands and broke through for the equalizer and the Cougars' first goal of the day in the 83'. The late goal was the beginning of the push for WSU as the Cougars pressed forward looking for more. Just two minutes later the winner would come, this time from junior
Morgan Weaver as the Cougs' leading scorer did what she does best to clean up in front of the goal. Weaver was able to cash in a rebounded shot after sophomore
Brianna Alger's initial attempt was saved by the Toreros. The two late goals were needed after the Toreros struck early in the day's contest, netting the opener in the 28' on a strike by Summer Mason.
