PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University Director of Athletics Patrick Chun announced Wednesday the naming of Jason Dudley as the Cougars' Director of Strength and Conditioning and Adam Thackery as Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning. Both have already moved into their current roles.

"These promotions are well deserved for Jason and Adam," said Chun. "We are focused on delivering a world class experience to our student-athletes. Jason and Adam in their respective roles, will impact our student-athletes on a daily basis. Both are tremendous people, great leaders and we are proud to have them guiding our strength and conditioning program."

Dudley has spent the past two seasons at WSU as the men's basketball strength and conditioning coach. He was elevated to his current role after a national search following the untimely passing of David Lang last February after 20 years with the Cougars. Dudley will be responsible for the management, coordination, and supervision of all aspects of the Cougar Strength and Conditioning Complex.

Prior to returning to his alma mater, Dudley spent two seasons at Central Washington University, where he started the school's first full-time strength and conditioning program. He also spent three years as the Head Tactical Strength and Conditioning Coach and Manager for the National Strength and Conditioning Association, in addition to working with the NFL's Indianapolis Colts (2010-11), as well as brief stints with the University of Connecticut and the NFL's Phoenix Coyotes.

Dudley earned a bachelor's degree in business administration and finance from WSU and his master's degree in human movement and performance from Western Washington.

Thackery was elevated to his current role after spending the previous two years as a strength and conditioning specialist for the Cougars, working with the baseball, soccer and track and field programs.

Certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association, Thackery spent four years at Miami University as the assistant strength and conditioning coach prior to arriving in Pullman. He has also worked at the University of Indianapolis and interned at Indiana University.

A native of Brookville, Ind., Thackery received his bachelor's degree from the University of Indianapolis in exercise science and his master's degree in applied sport science from Indiana.
