PULLMAN, Wash.- Washington State women's golf has signed Ephrata High School senior Kenedee Peters, whom will join the Cougars roster in 2018. Peters signed her National Letter of Intent during early signing on Wednesday, November 15.
"We are excited to have Kenedee joining our program next Fall. Kenedee has had an exemplary junior career and is one of the top players in Washington State," Head Coach
Kelli Kamimura said, "Kenedee loves to compete and is a natural athlete. She will be a great fit for our program and we look forward to watching her develop and excel as a student-athlete at WSU."
Peters will be going into her senior season as the reigning WIAA 2A State Champion. She previously held the title as a freshman where she led the field by 19 strokes. Also as a freshman, Peters claimed the WJGA State Champion title, and was awarded WJGA Player and Junior Player of the Year. To round out her freshman year, she travelled to Tulsa, Okla. to participate in the 2015 USGA Junior Girls National. Peters would make two more USGA Junior Girls National appearances in 2016 and 2017.
As a junior, Peters was 2017 USGA 4-Ball Qualifier Champion after shooting her personal record of 66(-6). She also took first at the WJGA Western Open with a score of 139 (-9).
Peters resume also includes three CWAC district championships in 2015, 2016, and 2017, and was also CWAC league MVP all three seasons.
Peters will join the Cougars on the fairway in the fall of 2018.
