Brown Leads Cougars in Pac-12 Preview

The Cougs and the rest of the conference take on the Nanea Golf Club in Hawaii.

KAILUA KONA, Hawaii: The WSU women's golf team is in eighth place with a 602(+18) after the first two rounds of the Nanea Pac-12 Preview. The tournament is being held at the Nanea Golf Club for the fourth consecutive year.
 
Senior Alivia Brown tallied seven birdies in the first round, helping her to a 70(-3) final score. She followed up with a 78(+5) in the second, and is currently tied for 15th with a 148(+2) overall score.
 
Trailing Brown by two strokes is junior Madison Odiorne who also went under par in the first round with a 72(-1). Odiorne matched Brown's second round score with a 78(+5) to bring her total to 150(+4).
 
Redshirt freshman Emily Baumgart is tied with two others for 34th with a two round score of 152(+6).
 
Currently in the lead is No.2 UCLA who finished the day 12-under par with a 564. UCLA players hold four spots in the top five as well, with Stanford's Andrea Lee in first (137, -9).
 
The tournament will conclude Tuesday, October 24.
