WASHINGTON STATE HEAD COACH TODD SHULENBERGER
Cougar Head Coach Todd Shulenberger is in his second year at Washington State…In 2015 Shulenberger became the seventh head coach in program history after spending the previous two seasons as the associate head coach at Texas Tech…last season the Cougars reached the NCAA Championship for the fifth-straight season and finished with a 14-6 record.
WASHINGTON STATE: LAST TIME OUT
Washington State fell 1-0 to Gonzaga at Spokane...Callie Best's header in the 19th minute proved to be the game winner as Gonzaga held off a late Washington State rally. The Cougars had a chance to draw even in the 50th minute when Kelsee Crenshaw's blast from 30 yards out hit the crossbar before being cleared by the Gonzaga defense. In the 88th minute, Maegan O'Neill's shot from distance rebounded off the Gonzaga keeper but Crenshaw's putback from inside the box went just wide.
COUGAR SOCCER ATTENDANCE AMONGST BEST NATIONALLY
Washington State ranks in the top-5 of average attendance when compared to all teams playing in Power 5 conferences. The Cougars are drawing an average of 2,065 fans to Lower Soccer Field per match this season, ranking fourth behind only South Carolina, Texas A&M, and Penn State.
