Wes Foster won six Pacific Coast Conference individual track & field titles at Washington State. In 1928, he set a World, American and Collegiate record for 175 yards at 16.6. That year, he finished third at the NCAA meet in the 100-yard dash. He brought national attention to the Pacific Northwest as a prep when he set four state marks and set or equaled to national records, May 16, 1925.
