Albert “Pete” Hooper played basketball for Washington State, 1937-39. During his three seasons, the Cougars were 66-29. Hooper scored 605 points and ranked sixth on the school’s all-time scoring list at the time. As a sophomore, he was part of WSC’s 1937 Pacific Coast Conference Northern Division championship team. He was an all-conference pick as a junior and All-Northern Division as a senior. In 1939, he batted .351 on the Cougars baseball team. Hooper coached the WSC freshman basketball team in 1940 and 1941.
