Jason Cvercko

Jason Cvercko begins his second season on the Cougar Football coaching staff as the Chief of Staff.

Cvercko worked four seasons (2016-19) including the final two years in the same role for head coach Nick Rolovich at Hawai’i, helping UH to back-to-back winning seasons, including a 10-5 mark and Hawaii Bowl win over BYU in 2019. Cvercko spent his first two seasons as Hawaii’s Director of Recruiting and Retention, and served as the pro football liaison at Hawai’i, Nevada and Stony Brook.

Cvercko made the move to Hawaii after one season as the coordinator of recruiting operations at the University of Nevada, where he worked alongside then-offensive coordinator Nick Rolovich, assisting a program that won the inaugural Arizona Bowl in 2015.

Prior to Nevada, Cvercko served as the director of football operations at Stony Brook University for three years (2012-14) and played a key role on the 2012 Big South Championship team that gave the Seawolves their second Division I Football Championship appearance and assisted the program in its move to the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA).

Cvercko worked at the University of Massachusetts in 2011 as a recruiting and operations assistant where he assisted with the Minutemen’s jump to the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS).

Cvercko worked as a recruiting intern at the University of Connecticut in 2009, assisted with UConn’s first BCS Bowl appearance at the 2011 Fiesta Bowl and graduated with his bachelor’s degree in physical education in 2011.
