George Hicks III WSU Football Bio

George Hicks III begins his first season on Head Coach Jake Dickert’s staff, serving as a defensive graduate assistant.
 
Hicks begins his coaching career at his alma mater, where he spent five seasons in a Cougar uniform (2017-21).
 
On the field, Hicks appeared in 46 games totaling 127 tackles, four of those being for loss. He had two career interceptions, three forced fumbles, and 12 pass breakups during his time at WSU. During his final year, Hicks was named Pac-12 Conference Defensive Player of the Week after making 10 tackles and an interception in the win over Oregon St. Hicks helped WSU to four bowl games and matched a career high of six tackles against Air Force in the Cheez-It Bowl during his junior year.
 
Hicks graduated in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in political science.
