Andrew Downing joined WSU in 2020 as an assistant athletic trainer within the athletic medicine department, and will primarily work with Cougar football.
Prior to Washington State, Downing was an assistant athletic trainer at Wake Forest University for over two years. Andrew also served nearly a year working with the Detroit Lions as an athletic training fellow.
He is currently a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, and has earned his athletic training license.
Downing complete his bachelor's degree in athletic training from Eastern Washington University in 2014, and then went on to earn his master's degree in education leadership from Northern Arizona University.
Is married to fellow WSU athletic trainer Maggie Downing, and they have a dog Rainier together. He enjoys hiking, running, and ultimate Frisbee.
