Attended Menlo-Atherton High, where he was coached by Henry Ford...earned two varsity letters each in football and basketball...as a JUNIOR team finished 7-3...named to the first team All-Pennisula Athletic League as a linebacker ... second team All-PAL forward on basketball team ... SENIOR year repeated honors by being named to the All-PAL first team...team finished 8-2 and placed third in the PAL...named to the All-Far West team by Super Prep Magazine.
TUUPO'S WSU CAREER
FRESHMAN (1997-98): Redshirt season.
RS-Freshman (1998-99): V-letter...did not see action until the last three games of the season due to a broken shoulder blade suffered in fall camp...had been ticketed for a starting spot before the injury...made four tackles in the last three games.
RS-Sophomore (1999-00): V-letter...saw action in all 12 games, with most of his 11 tackles coming on special team duty...also a backup middle linebacker...had four tackles against both Louisiana and Arizona State in back-to-back mid-season games.
RS-Junior (2000-2001): Made the move to defensive end during spring drills prior to junior year.
