SOPHOMORE (2002-03): Cross Country - At Pac-10 Championships finished 68th overall, seventh on team…reached 79th place (fifth on team) at NCAA West Regional Meet…Indoor - WSU leader in mile with time of 4:10.72i (3/1/03, Seattle)…also had top time in 800m of 1:53.53…finished seventh in 800m at MPSF Championships…Outdoor - Ran PR time in 1500m of 3:53.38 (5/3/03, Seattle)…struggled at Pac-10 Champs and finished 17th in 1500m.

Earned four letters each in cross country and track at Skyline High…coached by Brendan Hyland…MVP…qualified for cross country districts every year…senior year, qualified for state…All-King county selection…team captain and MVP…as a junior, lowered 5k time by more than a minute, to 16:07.0…placed sixth at state…selected as All-KINGCO and All-State…qualified for Nike Border Clash Meet…was XC team MVP and captain…in track, lowered times again to 1:57.1 in 800, 4:18.1 in 1600, and 9:34.3 in 3200…placed second at State in 1600…also ran anchor leg of 4x400 at state…All-KINGCO…team sophomore year was sixth at districts in 1600, ninth in 3200…selected to KINGCO second Team…finished sixth in 1600 and 3200 at KINGCO meet as a freshman…member of Cascade Striders for three years, coached by Jim Beebe…was 16th in 1999 Cross Country Championships earning All-American honors…team placed fourth…on track was eighth in 3000m and qualified for finals in 1500m…at 2000 Regionals was first in both 1500 and 5000…also spent one year as a member of the Federal Way Track Club coached by Darryl Genest, where he placed fifth at nationals as anchor of 4x800m.
