PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State junior women's basketball player Katie Appleton was named Pacific-10 Conference All-Academic honorable mention, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced recently.
Appleton, a movement studies major from Big Bear Lake, Calif., boasts a 3.29 grade-point average. To be eligible for selection to the all-academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall GPA and be either a starter or significant contributor.
Appleton was also named honorable mention All-Pac-10 after leading the Cougars in scoring with 12.0 points per game.
