Keller And Miedema Anchor Cougars Over Beavers

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Katie Keller and Kelley Miedema combined for four of the
Cougars' eight wins at the Osborn Aquatic Center, to anchor the WSU women's
swim team to a 122-83 18th consecutive victory over Oregon State.
Keller, a senior from Seattle, Wash., finished first in the 50-yard
freestyle with a time of 24 seconds and the 100 freestyle with a time of
51.93 seconds. The school record holder in both events marked season best
times at the dual meet.
Miedema, a junior from Cape Town, South Africa, captured wins in the 400 IM
(4:36.27) and the 500 freestyle (5:12.81).
Junior Erin Eldridge continues to surpass NCAA consideration times. Her
first place finish of 2:17.48 in the 200 breaststroke is the second time
this season she has eclipsed the NCAA consideration time standard in the
event (2:18.32). The Kirkland, Wash. native's season best time is 2:16.94
accomplished at the Husky Invite in December.
The Cougars finish the regular season at 6-6 (.500) and will prepare for the
Pac-10 Championships in Federal Way, Wash. Feb. 25-27.
