Get to Know Daniel Blood
April 03, 2026 | Football
Pullman, Wash. - Daniel Blood grew up in Destrehan, Louisiana. Blood is a transfer from Missouri where he played the three seasons including all 13 games last year as a wide receiver.

We recently had the chance to sit down with senior Daniel Blood.
Â
How has the change been moving from Louisiana to Missouri, and now to Washington?
The first process of me moving from Louisiana to Missouri was the hardest. Specifically going from Southern culture to Midwest culture. Once I got used to Missouri moving to Washington wasn't that much of a change. It was cold in both places, and a lot of coaches came from my previous school so that helped with the transition. And my big brother (JR Blood is WSU's Football Director of Recruiting Strategy) helped with the transition as well.
Â
Why did you choose WSU?
I chose WSU because of the coaching staff of course. I've seen what Coach Moore did at Mizzou and I trust him. Also, this is a good school it has produced a lot of good players, and I want to make my mark here.
Â
What has having your brother on staff been like?
It's great, he's another person to keep me in check. He tells me things I don't always want to hear and that's always good to have in your corner.
Â
What's the most interesting thing you've done in your life?
I went to Jamaica last summer and did a mission trip. We helped them build their homes and build up their community.
Â
What are your goals outside of football?
Definitely strengthen my faith with God, get my degree of course, and continue building my plan B outside of football.
Â
What is something you're looking for in this season?
I'm just so excited to get back out there, making plays I'm definitely ready for the first home game.
Â
What do you like to do in your free time?
I love to play basketball, make clothes, and make music on the side just for fun. I might rap or freestyle with my brother sometimes, it's just a pastime.
Â
Do you have any pre or in game rituals that you do?
Before every game I FaceTime my mom. I might go into the bathroom and call my mom, just talk to her for a few minutes then go back to listening to music. I listen to a lot of different music pregame but my top two are R&B and rap for sure.
Â
What's your favorite thing to do in Pullman?
My favorite thing recently is going to lunch with my brother. We'll go to the Land at least twice a week, we've been trying to make it a routine for us.
