Cougar Collective Becomes Official Collective of Washington State Athletics
January 31, 2025 | WSU Athletics
PULLMAN, Wash. (Jan. 31, 2025) – Washington State Athletics, along with Learfield Washington State Sports Properties, have announced a partnership to make the Cougar Collective the official Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) collective of Cougar Athletics.
"There is great synergy between WSU Athletics and the Cougar Collective as both seek to enhance the student-athlete experience through unique opportunities outside the field of competition," said WSU Director of Athletics Anne McCoy. "We appreciate all the Cougar Collective has done, and continues to do, to benefit our student-athletes, coaches and programs."
Founded in February 2022, the Cougar Collective provides NIL opportunities that connect Cougar student-athletes, fans and business owners. For the past few years, the Cougar Collective's work has provided unique opportunities for WSU student-athletes to capitalize on their NIL, including autograph signings, social media promotions, camps and clinics, charity events, special appearances and commercial merchandise to name a few.
"In the evolving world of college athletics, it is essential to have the resources needed to help recruit and retain our student-athletes," McCoy added. "The Cougar Collective continues to demonstrate it has similar goals making this partnership seamless."
