PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State dropped it's regular season finale to Wyoming 15-14 at Gesa Field Saturday evening.Â
TEAM NOTES
•     WSU finished the regular season with an 8-4 record, the most wins since 2018 (11-2)
•     WSU is headed to its eighth bowl in the last nine full seasons
•     WSU finished the regular season with a 5-1 record at Gesa Field
•     WSU recorded three takeaways (INT, 2 FUM) to push season total to 22, the most since 2021 (29)
•     WSU set season highs in sacks (6) and tackles-for-loss (11), the most in both categories since 2022 (Colorado State - 7, 12)

•     John Mateer completed 16-of-22 passes for 182 yards and one touchdown, his 10th game with 1 pass TD and 1 rush TD
•     Mateer rushed for 56 yards and one touchdown, pushing his single-season record for rushing TD by a quarterback to 15, the second-most rushing touchdowns by any player (16, Jerome Harrison, 2005)
•     Mateer's 29 passing touchdowns are ninth-most in WSU single-season history
•     Mateer is now responsible for 44 touchdowns this season, passing Gardner Minshew II (2018) for second-most in WSU single-season history (48, Anthony Gordon, 2019)

•     Williams pushed his season receiving yards to 1,026, his 1st career 1,000-yard season and 1st by a Coug since 2019 (Brandon Arconado)
•     Kris Hutson caught five passes to push his season catch total to a career high 54 (44, at Oregon, 2022)
•     Trey Leckner started at tight end, his first career start
•     Buddah Al-Uqdah made a team-high eight tackles, 1.5 for loss and recovered two fumbles
•     Kyle Thornton appeared in his 52nd career game, sixth-most in WSU history, made six tackles with two for loss including first sack of the season
•     Jamorri Colson picked off his first pass of the season, second of his career (Stanford, 2023)
•     Ansel Din-Mbuh recorded 1.5 sacks to push his season sack total to a team-high six
•     Quinn Roff recorded his first sack of the season, 11th of his career and fifth career forced fumble
•     Khalil Laufau made a career-high five tackles including three for loss and two sacks, both of which were career highs
•     Nick Haberer recorded a season-long 50-yard punt in the third quarter, his 171 career punts are seventh-most in WSU history
•     Dean Janikowski made two PAT to push his school-record PAT total to 177
