SAN FRANCISCO (May 31, 2023) – Four Washington State University football games, three home and one road, have been picked as part of the Pac-12 Conference's 2023 early television selections, the conference announced Wednesday.
Â
The Pac-12 television selections cover the first three weeks of the season, along with selected games later in the year.
Â
The Cougars will open their 2023 season Saturday, Sept. 2 traveling to Fort Collins, Colo., to face Colorado State. Game time is set for 4 p.m. PT and will be televised by CBS Sports Network. Last season, the Cougars hosted the Rams and came away with a 38-7 victory.
Â
Washington State opens its 2023 home slate the following week, Sept. 9, when it hosts Wisconsin at Gesa Field. That contest is scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. PT start and will be televised by ABC.
Â
The third week of the season, Sept. 16, sees the Cougars conclude their nonconference schedule by hosting Northern Colorado in a 2 p.m. game televised by the Pac-12 Network.
Â
The final early television selection is for the Friday, Nov. 17 game against Colorado. That contest is set for a 7:30 p.m. PT start time and will be televised by FS1.
Â
The remaining home games not selected for TV during the early selections include Oregon State (Sept. 23), Arizona (Oct. 14), which will serve as homecoming on the Pullman campus, and Nov. 4, when WSU hosts Stanford as part of Family Weekend in Pullman.
Â
The remaining road contests include UCLA (Oct. 7), Oregon (Oct. 21), Arizona State (Oct. 28), California (Nov. 11) and the Apple Cup at Washington (Nov. 25).
Â
While television selections for the first few weeks of the 2023 season have been made, as well as all Thursday and Friday games throughout the season, all remaining television game selections and start times, starting with week four (Sat., Sept. 23) and running through the final week of the regular season (Fri., Nov. 24 - Sat., Nov. 25) will be made 12- or six-days in advance.
Â
ESPN will televise Pac-12 football on ABC, ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU, while FOX Sports will air its games on FOX or FS1. Both network partners will simulcast select games on ESPN Deportes and FOX Deportes.
Â
Season tickets and home game mini-plans are on sale now online at wsucougars.com or by phone at 1-800-GO-COUGS. Single-game tickets for both home and road games will go on sale Thursday, July 13 for Cougar Athletic Fund (CAF) members and Monday, July 17 for the general public.
