Academic Services December Student-Athletes of the Month

PULLMAN, Wash. (January 3, 2022) – Washington State men's basketball's Andrej Jakimovski and women's basketball's Grace Sarver were named the Academic Services Student-Athletes of the Month for December 2022.

Jakimovski, a junior from Kriva Palanka, North Macedonia, has produced a 3.12 GPA while majoring in business marketing. Last season, Jakimovski was named to the Pac-12 Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll and while learning a new language studying in a new education system, is on track to graduate after three years. On the court last season, Jakimovski led the Cougars in 3-point field goal percentage (38.3), recorded nine double-digit scoring efforts along with three double-doubles.

Sarver, a senior guard from Seattle, owns a 3.93 GPA while double majoring in finance and marketing, and minoring in digital technology and culture and is two-time Pac-12 Conference Winter Honor Roll selection. On the court, Sarver entered Pac-12 Conference play with 87 career games played, scored nine points in the home win over No. 4 UCLA in 2021 and scored a season-high eight points in the win at Houston this season.
