Brennan Jackson was named the Pac-12 Conference Defensive Lineman of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

Jackson earns his first Pac-12 weekly accolade this season after earned the same recognition twice last season. The redshirt-junior tallied five tackles including a career-high two sacks and one forced fumble in the win over Arizona State, clinching bowl eligibility for the Cougars. Jackson enters the week fourth in the Pac-12 with 10.5 tackles-for-loss and tied for seventh with five sacks.

Earlier this season, Jackson was named a semifinalist for the 2022 William V. Campbell Trophy by the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame. Celebrating its 33rd year, the Campbell Trophy® recognizes an individual as the absolute best football scholar-athlete in the nation for his combined academic success, football performance and exemplary leadership. Jackson is one of 156 semifinalists including 10 from the Pac-12 Conference.
