Cougar Athletics to Participate in 2019 National Lentil Festival

WSU student-athletes will sign autographs Friday evening and participate in the parade Saturday morning.
PULLMAN, Wash. – Many of the Washington State University athletics teams will be participating in the National Lentil Festival at Pullman, Wash., this weekend, Friday, Aug. 16 and Saturday, Aug. 17.Â
Friday, Aug. 17, eight WSU athletic teams will be signing autographs on Spring Street, near Reaney Park. Autographs start at 5 p.m. and will feature tennis from 5-5:30 p.m., baseball (5:30-6 p.m.), men's basketball (6-6:30 p.m.), women's basketball (6:30-7 p.m.), rowing and swimming (7-7:30 p.m.) and men's and women's golf (7:30-8 p.m.).Â
Saturday, Aug. 17, the following teams will be marching in the National Lentil Festival WSECU Grand Parade: tennis, women's basketball, men's basketball, baseball, rowing, swimming, football, volleyball, men's golf, women's golf and the Cougar Spirit Squad including Butch T. Cougar, as well as the Chipman and Taylor Chevrolet WSU Helmet Truck and the Chipman and Taylor Chevrolet Cougar Cruiser. The parade begins at 11 a.m. and takes place on Main Street.
